About

bloody

time ;D

I do rearly like it. You can just a part of if out of the rear view mirror when driving, so it's well worth the money. You can also feel the increase in weight when you open and close the hatchback. Just hoping the Citroen gas struts are up to the job.

Michael made a great job of fitting it. 3 holes drilled in the boot lid. The middle one was easy, straight over the 3rd boot light, the other 2 drilled under the interior coverings (Could also see the area set aside for fitting the standard one as well).

It would have been easier to get a camel to thread through the eye of a needle, than to have bolted the spoiler on through these 2 holes, so he had to, a little unwillingly at first had to drill 2 more holes through the side of the boot lip.

2 set's of grommet's later, and it's all looking the mutts nuts.

Tell you what - get it veneered instead - a nice Sapele finish would look good.

Couple of castors on the end and if you ever flipped it upside down, you'd be as safe as houses - and have a GT bench.

Of course the tailgate had to be drilled to bolt the spoiler on. The centre hole is right over the 3rd brake light. The left and right holes were a little more painful.

2 rubber grommets each side make sure there's nothing to see.

Gone down well at work.

My Fiesta ST friend thinks it's a great Xsara addition.

Dom (registered blind) thought it had already been done.

My Audi friend won't even look at it

Planning Dougal's part service for Friday.

May used to be a 5 week pay month at work, now it's a 4 week pay month, So I'm going to have to do a part service myself. It's not even covered 6K miles since the last service (20-5-11), and only 2.5k since the oil was last changed.

Best prices - so far
4 litres of Castrol GTX @ £21.95
Oil Filter @ £4.95
Cabin filter @ £13.95
K+N Air Filter (slightly used) @ £10
May contain 35 other Citroen Xsara's, a Xantia, and some Pug 306 parts. May even have new parts fitted.
