Yes, reputedly, that old law has never been repealed.

However, going back a bit, it is my understanding it IS illegal to clip mini-roundabouts and equally will be a driving test fail.

see i would argue that as in say an hgv or pcv you would have to drive over it and thats not illegal so why if you go over it by two inches in the car that is then illegal ?? as it was painted on the road for the sole purpose that it is possible to drive over it without damaging anything

the one i got fined for came under the "or you just can’t get around them.” category lol and aside from that for the sake of two inches i wasnt exactly putting anyone at risk or in any danger yet they dont bother there arses at the twats that go around it the wrong as this roundabout is ofset to one side

my mate got done for no rear view mirror in his micra, but a 40 ton HGV doesn't need one. and some old cars only have one wing mirror!

You only need to have two mirrors on your car (one of them must be to the offside) so as long as he had 2 door/wing mirrors then there is no need to have an interior rear view one.

Also the chances are a 40 ton HGV wont even have a rear screen therefor no need for the mirror  Wink

well they did him cos they said if the car was made with an interior mirror it must have one fitted, it had just fallen off that day but they still gave him three points. maybe the fact that his exhaust was held on with a bungie cord had something to do with it  Grin

If he was driving about without his rearview mirror and exhaust held on with bungee, I'd say it was him who was taking the piss.
