In a 40 zone, approaching a hill top following a guy doing 30. When I get past the hill top and the road is clear I overtake at 40. Copper comes zooming over the hill blues and tunes on and basically ends up pulling me over.

The three of them (one very agressive female) do some checks on me and give me a rigth telling off for overtaking on chevrons - even though I knew it was perfectly safe - I won't be doing that again too soon!

Oh, and handing the copper my driving license and then saying "oh sorry, that's the fake one" and then handing them another one was not a good idea. FYI: They are both real, just one is a new one for my new address, but they didn't enjoy my sense of humour!

some of them really do think they are the long arm of the law! best thing to do is smile sweetly, say sorry and not let it ruin your day!

Depends on the type of chevron if its two solid lines either side of the >>>> then yes as its the same as a double white line. However if the there is split lines its perfectly ok to over take on these...

Coming on with the funnies with the stroppy variety, might not be considered a good career move.

It might just trigger an attack of the "and-now-let's-have-a-look-at-your-tyres"-itis.  Angry
