gifs not working in avatar

changed my avatar and the gif comes up as a still. changed it back and it's still still.

You would have to go mucking about with  it ...........................

It's always been a bit iffy uploading things on here - I haven't a clue for a fix for that.

Try jogging it by altering the method of inserting the gif, like say, "Choose avatar from gallery" then swap back to the original or ...................

Upload it to photobucket and use the URL to load it.

What you've uploaded there is a .png not a .gif

it's a gif! i can see it giffing about on my PB page like all the other gifs!

Yeah, my Corel Paintshop Pro doesn't like gifs either - it'll only display the first frame and then in a default format, often .png.

Why that one, Lord alone knows - it's not a format I or anyone else I know ever uses.
