just found this site,great help with a few niggles on my recent purchase,heater blower now working.cassette player swopped for cd player out of picasso.just the weird boing spring  noise when turning to sort now.car is 2.0 hdi.great job many thanks.

you were spot on phil,bearings knacked,because i left it so long n/s spring snapped the other day.oh well  all part of the fun.thanks for the welcome everyone.  :)

Don't cut corners, replace both. It'd likely have gone anyway.
