You need to know where ever your ball joint is 16 or 18mm.

I should have both types. £30 delivered.

its the diameter of the bottom ball joint pin hole, but yours has sheared so you'll have to find out where on the pin to measure, as it's tapered I should imagine at the thickest part, hope someone can confirm or correct for me  :coolsmiley:

Not a bad price if it includes postage.

Nat's came off when she had the Corsa.

Mechanic put a 'new' hub on from the scrap yard.
May contain 35 other Citroen Xsara's, a Xantia, and some Pug 306 parts. May even have new parts fitted.

I measured the diameter and its 18mm I've sent you a PM
Update: I've just ordered a new ball joint from p4l and their ball joints are 16mm

That must have been taking some grief - any sign of hammer marks on there?

No hammer marks but the inner edges have scuff marks as though someone had pried it apart to release the ball joint. When the parts are put together the shape is more oval the circular. Also I noticed that the part that broke off 3/4 of one side had rusted, so obviously it had cracked awhile back. Luckily I was only doing 5mph. 10 minutes earlier I was doing 60 on the bypass. I dread to think.

Favourite one years ago on the Morrie Minor and A30/35 was for the single front wishbone bolt to pull out thro' a rusted chassis.

Very common occurrence and hugely entertaining - unless the car in question is sliding across the road straight at you at 30mph.   :o

Fortunately, the chassis caught in a handly drain grating and stopped rather abruptly.  :2funny:

surprisingly common especially if some eejit has fitted a 16mm BJ and just tightened the bolt up tight, instead of 23 lbft.
