Not overly, just a bit fiddly once you've wound the pistons back in. The flat side of a biggish screwdriver with sit in the slot across the piston, so you can screw it in.

Take a good close-up piccy, or do a sketch of the layout before pulling apart, clean up thoro'ly and use Copaslip on moving (ie sliding) surfaces and the back of the pads - keep right off the friction surfaces, obviously.

its BRAKE btw.

break is what you do half way for a cuppa and a biccie  ;D

a few points to note, when you wind the piston back, you need to align one of the slots that has a small notch next to it with the lug on the rear of the pad, your new pads will have two pads with a lug and two without, the ones without are the outer pads.

the L shaped retaining bar goes on the trailing edge of the pads, i.e the bottom, and the anti rattle springs at the top, the small pin goes through the hole on the securing bar next to the carrier nut, not the wheel side.

otherwise your new pads will be in the gutter and your brake pedal on the floor within a couple of miles  ;D

Also only do 1 side at a time so you can double check with the one that you haven't dismantled, had a cup of tea and then forgot how to put it back together

yes as you can see the springs/clips are only flimsy so they're bound to disintegrate eventually if you keep reusing them. halfords do the kit for a few quid.

they should fit anyway. when i changed mine i noticed the old ones were fitted with the lugs on the outside and they'd worked fine uip til then.
