Take a look through the gallery on here to see what looks ok, 40mm lower seems to be the norm (unless you're from Ireland ;))
Larger alloys will help with the look as the sidewall height of the tyre will be less and the wheel "fills out" the arch space a bit more.
15mm offset is what you'll need.

Not that much to choose between them, and depends what you're lowering - a VTS is approx 30mm lower than all the rest anyway so you need to bear that in mind.

You need to look for offset or et of 15-20, PCD 108 4 bolts and bore of 65.5, I think. The larger the wheel you use, the lower the profile has to be. Normal is 195.55.15 , if you go to a 16" , I think you can drop to a 50 profile. This is often cheaper to buy tyres for, strangely enough.

The lower you go and the lower profile tyre you fit will harden the ride and may become uncomfortable - handling will feel more direct and you may notice the tendency to tramline.

i think 45s on 16" wheels are closer to the original size. and i think the bore is 65.1, near enough though  ;)

So 45 rather than 50 from experience?
